Hello All,
It has been a great month, we have been showing our jewelry at Scottsdale, AZ Sunday A'fair over the last month as well as visiting Palm Springs for their President's Day Art Festival. Welcome to all who have signed up from these shows.
I have been working on some new pieces that just went to the photographer's and will post them soon. But today I wanted to spotlight a very special piece "Desert Diamond".
I am always on the look out for unique and beautifully cut stones for my pieces. Last year I found this stone at a gem show in Phoenix, AZ. I fell in love with it immediately, The shape and color were perfect.
What is it you ask? It is a dyed turquoise stone with 24K gold added to the turquoise veins. It is truly a one-of-kind stone. As I sat down at the workbench with my new purchase to design a setting, I realized it was perfect just as it was. So I decided to keep the setting very simple. The stone is set in sterling silver and has a hidden bail behind the piece which is large enough for a small omega chain to slide through.
